Who is the Here For You Support Line for?
The support line is for anyone seeking help for their own or someone else’s mental health, alcohol and or other drug related challenges. We understand these issues can be a source of significant stress and frustration and can be hard to talk about. It is our goal to help you feel comfortable to discuss your concerns with confidential and empathetic support.
Here For You also helps other service providers with system navigation and information to facilitate support for clients.
A free call back referral service is also available.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, someone you know or a client, this support line provides:
A telephone support service 7am to 10pm daily
One-to-one telephone or online contact with a qualified counsellor based in Western Australia
Non-judgemental, anonymous and/or confidential support
Guidance around local services and resources that are available
If English is not your first language, you can get free translation support through the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) by phoning 131 450.
If you have speech or hearing difficulties, you can contact us by phone through the National Relay Service, email and or LiveChat.
What can you expect when you call the Here For You Support Line?
When using this service, you will have one-to-one telephone contact with a qualified counsellor.
It is okay if you are feeling nervous. Usually, the counsellor will begin by introducing themselves and you can remain anonymous if you like.
Here For You counsellors will:
- listen to what is going on for you or the person you care about
- provide emotional support
- provide information about alcohol and other drugs, mental health and well-being
- explore coping and relapse prevention strategies
- discuss options and provide information about local services and other resources that can provide ongoing treatment and support
- provide support for service providers and clinical teams seeking system navigation and information
The Client Charter provides detailed information about the rights and responsibilities of the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Support Service and the people who use the service.
