Privacy

The Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Support Service (ADMHSS, we, us, our, the service) is committed to protecting your privacy. Every effort has been made to ensure that all contact (phone, livechat, email, and online) is secure and confidential.

When you make contact to speak with an ADMHSS team member in any form, nothing said or written, can be passed on to anyone outside of the ADMHSS team without your permission. There are a few exceptions, such as if we are concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else. In these rare instances our duty of care will override confidentiality.

Our Duty of Care

We will not disclose your personal information to any third parties without your consent, unless permitted or required to do so by law, in particular when we exercise our Duty Of Care.

In these instances, the team member will try to talk to you first about what needs to happen and what additional supports you may need to help you be safe.

If necessary, we may need to pass on your contact information (if you have supplied it) to authorities who can help protect you and/or others, such as a crisis service or the police. Where possible, we will let you know if our concerns reach the point where we need to involve other services.

Protecting your privacy

ADMHSS is committed to protecting your privacy. The privacy policy outlines how we collect and manage personal information. The privacy policy does not affect our commitment to your confidentiality. We encourage you to read our privacy policy. Please remember to refer back to this Privacy Policy regularly to review any amendments.
