MIDLAND

Overview

The support group is provided for any family member or significant other who is affected by someone else's alcohol and/or drug use. The groups are a non-judgmental safe space for people to talk about the issues they face and explore what options are available to them. They work on the principals of collective wisdom and mutual support and are not a substitute for professional support.  

The groups are facilitated by parents and/or family members with a lived experience.  They are trained to facilitate the groups providing hope and understanding. Their role is to guide the group in a way that ensures everyone is heard, respected and empowered. 

We hope you can join the Midland Family Support Group on the following dates:

• Wednesday 3 June, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
• Wednesday 10 June, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
• Wednesday 17 June, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
• Wednesday 24 June, 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Additional Information

• Participation is FREE
• Support groups are for those aged 18 and over
• There is no need to book. Simply turn up 5 minutes before the group starts and a facilitator will welcome you
